Let's take a journey into the various iterations of Prayer throughout Jewish History. While the structure changed in different periods due to the calling of the moment, the purpose and spirit of prayer remained the same.
Is prayer prioritized for those who lack and feel deficient? Or is there a deeper calling in prayer? In this class we will discuss outsourcing our prayers versus insourcing and nourishing our faith through prayer?
Is prayer similar to meditation? If yes, why the need to pray? We will explore how our ancient structure of prayer reshapes meditation as we know it.
After processing the first three classes, we will explore two unique liturgical texts that will help reframe prayer and its impact on our day-to-day lives.
